I tested my blog in Google’s Structured Data Testing tool and it came back with this error:

    Error: Missing required field “updated”.

I’m wonder if there is a planned fix for this or if there’s a code I can add to my single.php file to get around this? thank you!

Technically it’s not really a requirement in themes or templates in general, or even seen as a bug as it’s something related to Google’s own features and not part of WordPress. It means having to change coding in my theme for that, but I can look into tomorrow and see if it’s an easy one to do, otherwise if it’s something that requires more time, I might not be able to get to it right away due to my current schedule being overloaded at the moment. But I will take a look tomorrow.

if it’s not that important (for SERP) then don’t worry about it. I tried to google this and found lots of solutions but most of them dependent on specific themes. It looked like it was a common concern and lots of answers out there but all offering different solutions. thanks for your response!

I did something similar to another theme of mine which i think I could probably add it to an update of Encounters. I also made a note to add this to future themes.
