summary vs. full blog on blog page not respected

I have setting set to show summary only on blog entries, but the blog page shows the entire blogs.

Hello Gary,

If you’ve activated the settings with summary for each article in a feed, show option inside settings>>Reading
that is for the summary in your RSS feeds.
You can manually insert more tag inside your blog posts to enable summarized view with continue reading link to visit the full blog posts.
Hopefully we’ll be updating the option to customize your full post with excerpt option in our next release.

It still shows a giant picture, because one of the other issues hasn’t been resolved.

There may be several reasons associated to the issue with images being not optimized such as jetpack photon optimization settings issue. However we’re still unable to access your website so it is difficult to track the exact issue you’re facing.
Could you please recreate the login access and let us know so we can investigate further?
