Top Half Background Image

I’d like to add an image to the top half of the background instead of the flat color. I’ve read this support topic. I’m a newbie, so I’m not sure I should be attempting this. I’m working with a child theme I created, but I don’t know how to get to the child theme’s header php to remove that section. I can only get to the parent php. What do I do?

Hi Lisa…with a child theme, and when you want to modify a theme file, you would copy (upload) that file to the child theme in the same location that it exists in the parent theme. Then you can make your changes to the one you put into the child theme. You will need an FTP program to do this, or you can use the file manager your web host account has.
