Unable to activate child theme

    Getting Error Message from wordpress theme dashboard. This is while the main theme Encounters is active. It is saying it cannot recognize parent theme. I unzipped it and installed via ftp so that this is not hidden inside multiple folders. Same result

    “Broken Themes

    The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.

    Name Description
    Encounters Child The parent theme is missing. Please install the “encounters” parent theme.”

    Hi Leroy…first, this is related to Encounters so I moved it to the appropriate forum.
    In the download of the theme, there’s the child theme folder with an encounters-child.zip file which is the one you install using the WordPress installer. If you are still having problems getting it installed, contact me with your login details for your site and I will be happy to do it for you.

    No worries… if you go to the support page on this site, in the lower footer area (under the Support Menu) is a “Email Support” link.
