I tried uploading my logo (jpeg) under the “customize” option and saved it. The home page doesn’t show it. Is there another step?
Thanks
That is odd…I have Celestial Reloaded on my local test site and just did a custom logo and it showed up. Do you have a link to your site, but also, I might need access to your admin if possible? If so, email me your details (not here in the forum). What version is your Theme?
My version is 0.1.0
I don’t have access to email right now, but, will send the info tomorrow.
Thanks
Celestial Reloaded version 0.1.0 ? Actually there is no version with that number, but I will await your follow up tomorrow.
Forgive me…I’m using Celestial Child 0.1.0
By the way, I was using a laptop and moved to a pc. I successfully uploaded the logo using the pc.
I just started using WordPress last week and have had a lot of problems and frustrations over the last three days. I now think the laptop (for whatever reason) may have been the cause of most of them.
Thanks for your patience and help!!
No worries.. although a laptop shouldn’t be an issue. My workstation is a laptop actually. Still, glad to hear it worked for you.
As for WordPress, it’s easy when a person is just simply blogging, but it does get more challenging for more involved websites. My best advice is to don’t rush WordPress, one step at a time, do lots of reading from the WordPress documentation, Google search, etc. Plus, lots of practice with it.
Things are working smoother using the PC. I still have to logout & back in whenever making changes t the header image though…curious.
What is your opinion of WordPress vs Drupal?
Thanks again!
I would not be able to give an opinion about Drupal because I never really delved into it. I know it’s more hands on coding, but also, Drupal is used for big cms based websites, whereas WordPress was originally created as a blogging platform. I still prefer Joomla (which is what my site is using). Overall I’ve been working with Joomla for over 6 years and WordPress 3.5 years.
