Hi Sias Marisa,

If you have done customization directly on parent theme then you will lost changes while updating theme. If you have done customization on child theme then updating parent theme won’t effect on this.;

Here we had illustrate about flat responsive, same you can apply for others as well.

Note: Please take a backup of your site before proceeding. Normally we use duplicator plugin to make a backup. https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/

I’ve followed the steps as write in the tutorial and now my website’s theme is updated.
I believe that the child theme is not to be touched: only the parent theme, correct???

After the update the slider on the home page present a space under the image.
How is happen?

How can I resolve the matter?

Regarding to slider can you make sure you had added the custom template provided by themes. If not please
have a look on the tutorial here https://www.styledthemes.com/documentation/pro-themes/flat-responsive-pro/ This may solve your wired looking mobile issue. You can find uses of widget kit menu on left

And regarding to space at bottom please add this css on child theme style.css or additional section of customizer so your changes will not lost on theme update.

Updating the premium theme won’t effect on child theme.

I got you the topic of Flat Responsive Pro 3 years ago. A week ago, WooCommerce 3.0 was updated. And now there is no product image on the product page.
I have a version: 1.2.3. The latest versions are not available to me.

After updating WooCommerce the following message appeared:
Your theme (Flat Responsive Child) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. You can see which files are affected from the system status page. If in doubt, check with the author of the theme.

On the recommendation of the developers WooCommerce checked the status of the system and here is the answer:
### Templates ###
Your theme contains the file woocommerce.php, you will not be able to override the custom template woocommerce / archive-product.php since woocommerce.php received priority over archive-product.php. This prevents display problems.
Overrides: flat-responsive-pro/woocommerce/cart/cart-shipping.php
flat-responsive-pro/woocommerce/checkout/form-checkout.php
flat-responsive-pro/woocommerce/checkout/form-shipping.php version 2.5.0 is out of date. The core version is 3.0.0
flat-responsive-pro/woocommerce/content-product.php
