All of a sudden, I’ve found that I have to log out of WordPress and then log back in for edits that I have made to show up (vs just hitting the refresh button). Do you know why this might be happening?
Thanks for the help,
Ben
That is a first I’ve heard of this kind of thing happening…it sounds like it has something to do with your WordPress. I suggest posting this in the wordpress.org forums and see what they say. Also do a search on google and see if others have experienced this.
quick side note for you Ben… I am getting returned notifications relating to your email as it appears you are running (or your email server) a spam protection? Notifications to you of replies are being bounced back so you may want to add my domain to your safe list.
Sorry about the email bounce back. That is why we’re moving from our current host to BlueHost & WordPress. Many people using the host we’re using are having email issues and there seems to be no solution on the horizon.
I did get a response on the WordPress support site stating that Google Chrome has been known to cause that problem. I can say that I logged back in using Explorer and the problem seems to be resolved. I’ll let you know if it occurs again.
Also, I noticed that this appeared to only pertain to refreshing changes to the Header image.
I’ve been lucky enough to not experience that (yet) and I use Chrome as my primary browser. I have noticed though that after awhile Chrome won’t let me switch windows to other applications and this apparently happens to others, and I have to close it then reopen it to clear that bug. I also use other browsers being as I make themes:
1. Chrome
2. Firefox
3. Safari
4. IE
5. Opera
I find it interesting that Chrome is the most used, but my list also reflects stats for my site, and safari is well above IE.
I’ll try using two browsers while editing in the future. Thanks for your feedback!
