Video embedded in column

I have a few pages where I’m utilizing the inline column feature of the theme. I’d like to embed a YouTube video in one of the columns, but nothing shows up. I can embed a video on the same page outside of the column tags and that works fine…it’s just within the column tags that it won’t show up. Is there a way to fix that?

If I understand you correctly, your Youtube video works until you put the link or code inside one of the inline columns? If so, please send me the code you are using for the video embed as well what was the column layout you were using, and I will try to replicate it on my local test site.

Yes, you’re understanding correctly. Here is the video embed and the column layout I was using was a span 4 and span 8, with the video going in the larger column.

I just setup a page with that kind of layout and was able to see the video. My suggestion is to re-create the columns and make sure your code you enter in is not being stripped of anything by the content editor; sometimes that can happen.

This is the test code I did in my page:

I attempted again, and still didn’t work….then I realized that it simply wasn’t showing up in the preview mode. Once I published the page, the video was there. Thanks for troubleshooting with me.

good to know it’s working for you; didn’t realize it would not show in preview mode, but I guess that is a WordPress thing.
