Widgetkit slideshow

I am trying to use the celestial template for my slideshow. When I go into the slideshow on my ftp site, the celestial style is not showing up, only the default.
Any ideas why this isn’t showing up? I’ve watched the tutorial several times and seem to be doing everything right. In the video, he say’s to upload it to my ftp site, how do I do this?

Unfortunately the only way to do this is to use an FTP program to upload the folder “celestial” for the widgetkit plugin (slideshow) that is found in your original theme download package. IF you do not have an FTP program, you can download one (free) called FILEZILLA. Documentation is there too.

As a side note: Anyone running a website should have an FTP program because there are times where you may need to go into where all your files are where your website is. Web host providers have a file manager in the control panel, but these only allow you do upload one file at a time.

When you install Filezilla, you will have to create a site profile with the username, password, and ftp address (usually looks like this: http://ftp.yoursitedomain.com ) and then you can connect and see where your website files are. Luckily you only have to do this initial setup once.

The celestial style that you upload will go where the “default” folder is, which is the “styles” folder:

/wp-content/plugins/widgetkit/widgets/slideshow/styles/

I figured it out but now when I choose the celestial style, the buttons don’t show up but they do in the default. I tried changing to a different color but that didn’t seem to help.

You’re welcome….The buttons for navigation on the left and right? Make sure the settings are set to show for the slideshow.

Hi, I download the first version of Celestial Reload, and there is no simple-slide-caption text. I copied the text from the video tutorial but there are some errors. The text appears with the image and the navigation buttons are disabled. There are also errors in the text. Can I have the correct version of the simple-slide-caption text?

Hi Matteo….for the navigation buttons, the setting for that is in the settings when you have the slideshow open for editing. Make sure they are enabled. Also, I’m not sure what you mean by “There are also errors in the text” ?

Ok, it seems all right.
But with the word the arrows are no longer clickable and lacks the effect that appears before the photo and then the message.
I can not figure out what is wrong and I’ll send you some pictures of the screen

I got your link in the email..thanks Matteo. I think you might have an older version of the celestial style for the slideshow. You are correct, the arrows are not clickable but the live demo site works for Celestial Reloaded. I sent you a replacement “celestial” style for the widgetkit’s slideshow plugin, plus added it here.
