ParticipantHi. I get this message in the wordpress dash ….
Your theme (Encase Pro Child) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. Suggestions to fix this:
Update your theme to the latest version. If no update is available contact your theme author asking about compatibility with the current WooCommerce version.
If you copied over a template file to change something, then you will need to copy the new version of the template and apply your changes again.I bought encase pro a year ago, I think. Has there been updates to handle this? What must I do to get the updates?
Thanks.

ParticipantI have another question while we’re at it.
the section called about the author that shows up at the bottom of some pages and not others?
I can’t remember where to go and make those changes.

ModeratorHello Gary,
Yes, your theme membership scheme has expired which you’ve to renew every year.
Just renew it and then enter your license key to Appearance / Theme License menu to activate one-click updates.
When you see a theme update notification you can proceed with the update.Regarding about author section,
The default page template addreses it by default. You can change the page template or if you want to edit author information go to Dashboard>>Users and make desired changes.Hope you’re clear.
Let us know.Thanks!

Participantok. i just bought encase pro. Not sure if it would have been cheaper if I had a previous license. Let me know.
But now, I tried going to APPEARANCE THEME LICENSE. But there isn’t anything referring to LICENSE.

Participantactually, in regards to the “about the author” section, I want to have control over what pages that section shows up on. when you say “change the page template” do you mean to edit it?
I have never done that. where do I go to edit the template?

ParticipantI took a look at the default template page with widgets and I don’t see where it handles the author section.

/*

ModeratorHello Gary,
Regarding the pricing, you’ll get 50% off on annual renewal fee for theme membership scheme or you may upgrade to any other scheme whenever you like to do. We’ll check your account status and let you know.Regarding about author section, better not to make changes to the template(page.php,single.php) unless you’re familiar with the theme files and programming. If you don’t want to use the default page template, there are other template options;
-Just go to your Dashboard>>pages>>particular page
-Inside the page sidebar under Page attributes>>Template select the desired page template.
-Save changes and you’re good to go.Best Regards,

KeymasterHello Gary,
If you would like to modify the default page template please make sure you do it through the child theme.
Regarding the license key activation – if you can’t see the APPEARANCE / THEME LICENSE admin menu section that means your current theme is a quite old version that hasn’t got the license key integration key.
In this case, you need to update the parent theme files manually via FTP or you host’s file manager.Regarding the renewal price – considering that you have had a previous subscription with us in the past years I have upgraded your single license to membership so you can access all the themes for the $49 you had just paid.
regards

Participantthanks for all your help. I did the FTP update. I presume there’s nothing more I have to do? the woocommerce templates should be up-to-date with that any other action?

ModeratorHello Gary,
Please let us know on how you performed the update. Here is the quick Documentation for your reference.
If you’d already done it manually, you can re check the dashboard status for outdated woocommerce templates which shouldn’t re appear now.Best Regards,
