Hi, yes I went to the iPad simulator and I know it looks good there, but not on my iPad… ?
I have an iPad and have just checked and it still shows as a scroll down instead of a full view as it appears on desktop.. So, no I have not made any changes.. I wouldn’t know how… 🙂
Excellent. I appreciate. I am using Encounters 1.7.7
Yes, that is correct.
Thanks, I use Dynamic Widgets which works well. I discovered that one of the images in a widget was causing the problem.. so is fixed now, but thanks for your response.
Okay, but it happens on every page where I change the template to support right page widgets… I shall muddle through, hopefully the error will reveal itself.
Okay, I will wait to hear from you soon.
I’ve been looking out for an update for encounters which enables me to revert from the current mobile view on iPad to a full website view.. Are you still going to do this or have I missed the update?
Would really love to change the view on iPad and iPhone to a normal view.
Hope you move went well..
My site is thebeautyissue.com
Okay, great. So what do I do next? Just check the updates menu?
My website is thebeautyissue.com
Yes, I prefer it the view on iPad devices is of the full site rather than the way it views now with right had widgets being at the bottom of the page and you have to scroll down to see them, which is not great when featuring advertising.. so from a commercial point of view I think a full site view is better (as it was before) and I guess how your site views on my iPad..
So, if I do the media query as you suggest would that go into child theme?
Hope it all makes sense..
Hi thanks for your quick response.
If I choose option 1, does that mean every time you update the version my site will go back to a mobile view?
and I don’t really understand option 2. What do you mean when things change to mobile layout?
I use cyberduck, (is that what you mean), but not really that sure how to use it.. so I always go via bluehost..
I will attach screenshot..I’ve been working with encounters since I bought it, last year without any problems, although, I don’t watch for any updates and there is no notification on my website regarding updates so I am operating from 1.3 and I now see there have been quite a few updates i missed. Could this be part of the problem. Should I be going back and updating all versions?

Not sure what I am doing wrong, I go to my FTP Manager on Bluehost CPanel, then go to the path as you have instructed and then choose to load a file (encounters.zip) then tick overwrite old files.. it only takes a few seconds and then it says, complete. But, when i go back to my website and check the theme it still shows the old theme.
The zip file is in there but all other files remain as last modified in June 2013
Getting frustrated with this and the other way you explained to do it was not clear.
