ParticipantOk, so I’ve gone through the code snippet and have a few questions.
1. Do I need to have two of each image in my media library? It seems like the original file is called and then a second instance of each photo formatted to 550×550.
2. The data-lightbox calls a ‘group:mygallery”. Is that the name of the individual galleries or do I need to set up a specific gallery just for my homepage? More specifically, each of the images on my home page gallery points to a specific gallery set, so should/can that group be the gallery pointed to?
3. Finally, does this snippet go into the “Insetfull” widget where the portfolio snippet is?
Thanks.November 30, 2016 at 11:26 am in reply to: Jetpack Social Icons not showing in bottom widget location #40424Stewart Godwin
ParticipantI’ve set them up through the customize appearance method. However, if you know what the issue is with the widget and could let me know how to troubleshoot it I would appreciate it. Thanks.

ParticipantAny movement on my last question here?
“Ok, next question on the portfolio/gallery… I get that I need to use the featured image in the portfolio post to populate the gallery on the home page. In the demo when you click on one of the gallery images a lightbox slideshow pops up. When I click on mine it takes me to my portfolio post which is all over the place in terms of formatting. I’m digging the slideshow – how do I get that to work? Do I use the widgetkit slideshow and just point the featured image at the right slideshow?”

ParticipantGreat, thanks for the update on the portfolio gallery.

ParticipantOk, thanks. Do what you need to. I will leave it alone until you’re after you’re done.

ParticipantAre you on my site now? I’m having some unusual activity with someone logged in from Singapore. If it is you I will let you do what you need to do.
Stewart Godwin
ParticipantNo problem, I sent you the correct details in the other post.

ParticipantOk, as I thought that was probably a bit of a language barrier issue I specifically mentioned that in my first post here. Your documentation is not clear on how to set up portfolios in this section nor how to get them to display as they do in the demo.
Following the documentation’s instructions above I went to the “Styled Portfolio” option in the general menu. I have set up a couple different portfolios there but there are no shortcodes generated by them and when I try to use the shortcode from the documentation nothing seems to happen. I would appreciate some more specifics on how to get this to work properly. Thanks.

ParticipantI had already configured my site with those settings. The widgetkit slider is still not displaying on anything but the home page. See the attached screencap.

ParticipantI’m having the same issue but your reply did not actually include the code you mentioned in your response. Could you please post it again? Thanks.

ParticipantI think I found most of my problem and corrected it. I just hadn’t followed all of the tutorial’s instructions correctly. Now I just have to update your demo content. Thanks for offer of assistance tho.
